LOCAL GIVING CLOSE TO A RECORD YEAR

Through your generosity, the Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation can give over $20,000, so far this year, to our local service organizations.   Because of the situation with Covid-19 Pandemic these organizations are being relied on more than ever before.  Thank you to all of you who have helped provide these needed funds with your generous contributions.  WKACF is awfully close to raising that record goal to help our friends and neighbors in need.  Hopefully, you can be the one that puts them over the top.  If you need extra forms, they can be found in the lobbies of our local banks.  Thank you again for your generosity and helping the foundation keep our communities a great place to live work and play.

Dear reader,

The Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation would like to thank all of you that have turned in your Local Giving Form and contribution.  Your gift helps our local service organizations assist our friends and neighbors, especially during this pandemic.  You have made an impact on your community.

For those of you who have not had a chance to turn in your Local Giving Form yet, the opportunity for you to make an impact on your community still exists.  Please take a moment to fill out the form and send it in.  The need is great, and your community appreciates your generosity.

Drop boxes and more forms are available at our local banks, or you may send them by mail to the address on the forms.  You can also go to our website, wkacf.org or our Facebook page.  Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation thanks you for your generosity and helping to keep our communities a great place to live, work and play.

Sincerely,
Bob Mann,
President Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation

CAN YOU HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS?

Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation is sending you a donation form to help your friends and neighbors in need.  This Local Giving Program helps so many families that are struggling through this pandemic.  100% of your contribution goes to those Local Service Organizations that provide assistance to these families.  Your donation, up to $300 qualifies for a special tax deduction, even if you do not itemize.  So be generous when you receive your form in the mail this week.  Know that you are making a difference in the lives of your friends and neighbors and keeping our community a great place to live, work and play.

Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation is gearing up for their 4th annual Local Giving Promotion. With the ongoing Pandemic causing layoffs and stay at home orders, this fundraiser for our Local Service Organizations is more important than ever. Through your generosity, the Foundation was able to raise over $60,000 in the last three years for these service organizations who help our local friends and neighbors.  You will receive the Local Giving Donation Form in the mail at the end of the month.  Please be as generous as possible. Your support helps keep our communities a great place to live, work and play. Look for an article in next week’s paper telling you about which service organizations are involved in the Wabasha Kellogg Are Community Foundation Local Giving Promotion.

The Wabasha Area Community Foundation is gearing up for their very successful Free Pool Pass Program again this year.  This program provides free pool passes to all area youth, as well as free bus transportation for those who need it.  We have received many comments and notes on the success of the program and how it benefits all area youth.  I thought I would share a few of these comments with you.

Thanks to everyone who make the Pool Pass Program possible.  M. & P.

Like ducks, all should learn to swim, and your free pool passes allow that to happen.    Thank you,    J.

This program gives our youth the opportunity to acquire skill to stay safe in our river town and begin a sport they can enjoy all their lives.  Thank you,    J.J.

The pool means a lot to me and my Siblings.    J.W.

Thank you WKACF for your efforts to make this community a special place.   D.

I hope this free Pool Pass Program continues indefinitely, as it is a special benefit for our youth.       Thank you,  J.

Thank you for these comments and the many more we received.  The Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation Board are proud and very appreciative of the community support , which has allowed us to provide this program for our youth.  Thank you for your contributions!

You can help us continue this program by sending your donation to WKACF, P.O. Box 268, Wabasha, MN 55981 or go to www.wkacf.org and use the donation link.  Remember to designate your donation to the pool pass program.   If you have any questions or comments, contact Bob Mann, 651-564-1133.

Dear Reader,

The Covid-19 Pandemic can’t last forever.  Wouldn’t it be great to have a free pool pass for all area youth when it ends?  Our area youth would welcome this activity diversion after being pent up at home for a length of time.  With your help the Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation can make that happen.  Please consider a donation to this outstanding program that continues the Foundation’s Mission to keep our communities a great place to live, work and play.

Send your donation to Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation (WKACF) P.O. Box 268, Wabasha, MN 55981.  If you have any questions, call 651-564-1133.

Thank you for your support,

Bob Mann, President  Wabasha Kellogg Area Community Foundation

Dear Reader,

I am writing to you on behalf of the Wabasha-Kellogg Area Community Foundation (WKACF).  The Foundation is committed to continuing our successful project of Local Giving.  In the last 3 years, we have been able to raise over $60,000 for our Local Service Organizations.   You have been chosen to be one of our participants this year.  To do this, we will need your help in preparing and promoting this very important mission.

If your organization would like to be a recipient of this Local Giving fundraiser, there is a MANDATORY meeting on March 25th at 7:00 PM at the American Inn.  A discussion will be held to go over how to improve on this Fundraiser and what your organization will need to do to participate. We are always open to suggestions and ideas.   A REPRESENTATIVE OF YOUR ORGANIZATION MUST ATTEND THIS MEETING TO BE INCLUDED IN THE FUND DRIVE.  We look forward to meeting and working with all of you to grow your funds and make our community continue to be a great place to live, work and play.

Sincerely,
Dr. Bob Mann
President WKACF
